Technical Support: Boost Point Text and actual calculation

Double Boosts for VIP Members!
When a VIP member gives a performer a power score boost it counts for double! We accomplish this by doubling the boost and then immediately issuing a rebate in 1/2 of the boost amount back to your game point account. This is yet another reason to become a VIP member.

Enter Performer Name:
Amanda_Fucking_Palmer (ha you knew I'd do that)
Choose boost:
+50 points for 500
Updated total after boost is awarded.
You have 4364 points available.
Okay, per ancient Greek calculation and Roman emphatic proof assertion:
50x2 = 100
100/2 = 50
4864 - 500 = 4364
4364 + 50 = 4414
The VIP calculation asserted by your textual expression is proven False

It has been over a year since this question was originally raised in the VIP forum. I am now placing this question before tech views and VS staff as a simple matter of programming accuracy. Please note that the history of computer programming is replete with examples of such calculations leading to actual human bodies getting their wrists slapped and the programmer body attached to that wrist getting decades of time in restraints for instituting a penny a transaction or rounding accumulation bit of code. HA! Dudes and dudettes that make stuff happen here behind the graphics ... this code just isn't there.

They way I read it the calculations would be:

LOL yeah you bastard you are using THEIR convoluted Bradian math damn it. bhahahahahaha
To be honest, I had to get drunk and pick a fight with my ex before I was able to make sense of this.. (Fight with the ex because he always ends the fight with.. 'You always have to be right.." and it was the motivation I needed to make the post.)
